Experimentation with space-time perception and conflicts sparked not only by the real-digital transition but also by the very process of cocreation are the hallmarks of this artistic duo’s work,
done mostly in video and electronic media. “The themes change. Yesterday we were dealing with love and relationships; then we took a childlike, playful turn; next it was issues related to contemporary violence, with references ranging from video games to urban warfare. What interests us in this respect is that we always have open paths and fields [to work with],” they say. Graduates in the visual arts from Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado (São Paulo), in 2009 the duo held a solo exhibition, Sobre controle, at Galeria Vermelho (São Paulo). They also featured at the 10th Havana Biennial (2009), at the Vidéoformes Festival (France,2009), the 1st Bienal del Fin del Mundo (Argentina, 2007), the Microwave Festival (Hong Kong, 2007), and the 15th Videobrasil (São Paulo, 2005), as well as at the 2nd Marcantonio Vilaça Award (Rio, Curitiba, Manaus, 2008), the 5th Sergio Motta Art & Technology Award (São Paulo, 2005), and the 11th Salão da Bahia (Salvador, 2004), where they were among the prize winners.
