Technological Connections: registrations up to August 31
The Technological Connections Festival highlights the discussion and promotion of works in Arts and Design in digital media, performed by college students from all over the country. Check out the registered works and apply until August 31. Participants will compete for three awards of $ 1,500.00 each. In November, there will be a closing event of the Festival in Sao Paulo, with an intense schedule of lectures, workshops, chats, and exhibition of the selected works
Futurecom Innovation Prize 2010: registrations up to August 24
The Futurecom 2010 Innovation Prize will reward the three best VAS Applications for Telecommunication Services, developed by professionals, researchers and students. During Futurecom 2010 (25-28 October), visitors will have access to 10 applications finalists who will be demonstrated live and learn about the three winners. Registrations are free and should be held until August 24.
Winners of HTTPvideo
The three award-winning videos at the Festival HTTPvideo 2010 were announced in São Paulo on July 30. The jury composed of Nelson Brissac Peixoto, Ricardo van Steen, Guilherme Kujawski, Luiz Duva and Fernando Oliva selected the following works: Blanche Neige Rouge, of Ivan Claudio; f.lux of Group Zilch and O desenho nas cidades, of Rodrigo Born. Each of the winners will receive R$ 1,500.
AVLAB São Paulo
O Centro Cultural da Espanha in São Paulo holds the fourth edition of the monthly meetings of art and technology AVLAB São Paulo. The August session will establish dialogues with artists awarded in previous editions of Sergio Motta Art and Technology Award. Rejane Cantoni, Rafael Marchetti and Wilson Surkoski will discuss their creative processes, platforms and tools. The project is curated by Daniel Gonzalez Xavier and this session is organized by Tetê Tavares, project coordinator of the Instituto Sergio Motta.
